My signature squares series explore surrealism, abstraction, and urban expressionism through layers of collaged ephemera and mixed media like pastels, paints, chalk, pencil, and more. I'm driven by eclectic curiosity and the joy of juxtaposition, and love to find my way through all the possibilities of collage. My squares are often humorous or irreverent, but contain many symbols and references to literature, especially poetry, art history, and music. I love using typography, fonts, numbers and graffiti as part of my practice. They are ready to hang, with a wire on back and edges painted black. All you need is a small nail.
