Biography

Autodidacte, d’abord, j’ai par la suite appris à peindre au contact d’artistes que j’admire, notamment Francine Labelle, grâce à qui j'ai découvert la peinture coloriste. Ce langage visuel est d’ailleurs devenu essentiel dans ma pratique. Je puise mon inspiration dans la peinture moderne. Les peintres fauves me touchent particulièrement. Avec leurs couleurs intenses, libérées du réalisme, ils peignaient en se laissant guider par l’émotion et l’instinct.
