Hailing from the world's most multicultural city of Toronto, my art reflects my home through its eclectically diverse subjects and mediums. Ranging from wildly colourful portraits to mystifying paintings of cephalopods my portfolio has something fascinating for everyone. Being a self-taught artist has ensured that my works feature many unique styles and mediums such as pencil, charcoal, oil pastels, acrylic paints, pen, and oil paints. My creative mind is what truly drives me to keep creating and pushing the boundaries of my abilities in all aspects of my life. But, when I'm not painting I'm playing my saxophone, working on my law degree, or hanging out with my pet chameleon Marty. I am also an avid fan of music and often listen to the Beatles, Eagles, Bob Dylan, and Jim Croce (to name a few) while I paint. 

The eclectic nature of my art makes it difficult to summarize my artistic intent, so I shall describe my art through its contrasts. My art is full of colour and also a lack of colour, some pieces are soft and some are harsh, some make you sad and others make you smile, and just like life some moments are vibrant with life and some are dark with sorrows. Therefore contrast is the nature of my art, and can be seen in my colour choices, use of line and shading, and subject matter. I do not spend much time in the planning phase when creating artworks, instead I have general ideas which are formed and refined on the canvas itself. Beginning with a loose charcoal drawing I block out basic colours and segments of a painting and develop it as I see fit. This creates a loose feeling style on the canvas which features many curious colour combinations layered to create a sense of depth in the work.
