Biography

I am a Miami-based artist.  I was born in Chicago to Cuban parents, raised in Caracas, Venezuela and as an adult have lived in New York, Tokyo and Miami. I have been painting since 2008 when I retired from a career in global banking.

Artistic approach

Miriam paints in oil or acrylic on pre-stretched canvas. Her paintings use a vibrant, bright color composition with strong shapes, line work and some elements of perspective. They have a narrative, illustrative style and often have an expressive elements.
