Trophy Wives is an acrylic/,mixed-media piece I painted of my roommates. I directed the photoshoot, set up the desired composition, and then painted/collaged the piece on a 36"x36" gallery canvas. I find it gives a really regal/powerful/rich vibe from the richness of the skin tone colour palette and the “baroque” like dramatic lighting and dark background. Further, their head held high and strong expressions added to the strongness of the subjects.
