This is a warm and contemporary coastal landscape/seascape, and is a diptych made up of 2 paintings that can be placed side-by-side to create a larger combined piece. Each painting measures 30" h x 24" w x 1.5" d, and placed together they measure 30" h x 48" w x 1.5 d, not including any space you might wish to allow between the pieces. This diptych is inspired by the moody weather systems and ever-changing Vancouver/PNW coastal region. The clouds are atmospheric and imposing, while capturing a range of neutral and cool/warm tones, including a rich pink-peach across the horizon. And the beach landscape and water portions of the paintings capture an array of warm beige and brown tones, as well as a variety of aqua/blue tones, to create a versatile palette that would suit many ocean and beach-inspired homes. This diptych is highly textural and organic, with lots of layering and glazes to create a sense of depth, movement and visual interest. The sides are painted in a coordinating grey tone, and the paintings are finished with gloss varnish to seal and protect them. They are signed, titled and dated on the back. Both pieces are wired and ready-to-hang.
