Ink Couples Series: Tender, gentle, fun, and loving moments between couples. In this series of 100 couples, I wanted to portray relationships that are treasured and lasting. It is important for me to evoke emotion in the viewer. As I paint with ink, I pay close attention to value as I layer washes, some of which are so soft they give an impression of line. Others deep and rich, adding high contrast and expression to the painting.
