I have been creating art most of my life one way or another, working as a professional designer for the last 30 years I have always strived to express and develop my creative instinct. I have built furniture, pottered around pottery, sculptured but drawing and painting have been my main artistic expressions and where I feel most comfortable. I grew up in rural Australia on a large sheep farm and take inspiration from the landscape and many Australian artists such Bret Whitley, Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Russell Drysdale and John Olsen. I have lived in Canada for the past 10 years with my wife and boy. Naturally, I am drawn to the outside environment and get most of my inspiration from Canadian wildlife and my work is dominated by this. Tom Thomson and Lawren S. Harris are two of the many great Canadian artists that inspire my work. As I continue my artist journey and look to continually develop my skill I hope to build a body of work that not only shows harmony but also heart.
