J'ai dessiné et encré cette illustration suite à une rencontre avec une femme sdf qui m'a très touchée dans les rues de Paris. Cette femme, Antillaise s'était mise dans un recoin pour échapper aux regards ou à l'indifférence des passants. Dans mon illustration je l'ai mise en avant car qu'elle soit cachée ou non, les passants ne la voient pas, d'où le titre la femme invisible. J'ai trouvé que le noir et blanc avec des valeurs de gris (avec le lavis) s'apprêtait particulièrement pour cette illustration retraçant une scène de la vie quotidienne avec l'Injustice qu'elle comporte. I pencilled and inked this artwork after an encounter with a homeless woman who really moved me in a street of Paris . This West Indian woman would hide in a closed restaurant entrance , so as to escape from the staring or the indifference of the passers-by . I put her forward in my artwork because wether hiding or not, passers-by don’t really see her, hence the title : " The invisible Woman " . I chose black and white paint with shades of grey (using wash drawing) because this technic perfectly fits with the subject of daily life scenery and enhances the Injustice linked to it .
