Biography

Courtney Nicole Townsend is a Canadian artist who is influenced by nature, animals,
archetypes, and concepts of alternate realities and the athropocene. She is a communications graduate and a mother of two. Courtney works in digital and traditional photographic mediums.

Artistic approach

A self taught
photographer, she draws inspiration from the world around her, finding beauty in the
abstract, people, nature and creatures; always attempting to capture the spirit of whatever
may lie in front of her, with a particular interest in sharing the world with companion species.
Travelling abroad and wandering the Canadian landscape have
significantly added to the depth of her work and a pursuing of spirituality in the physical
world.
