Clare McIntyre is a Newfoundland-born artist living in Toronto. Artistic approach

My art is an extension of my connection to nature and my physical surroundings. The two go hand-in-hand. My process rarely begins in my studio — I spend time exploring in my neighbourhood, a meditative practice that grounds me. I create using materials like watercolour and gouache on paper and canvas because they tie back to natural elements.
