Afshin Sabouki, a talented visual artist and cartoonist, discovered his passion for art at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tehran. He became a founding member of "Keyhan Caricature" and contributed to the growth of satire and humor in Iran. Sabouki's cartoons tackled social and political issues fearlessly, earning him recognition as the secretary of the Cartoon and Illustration Department at Shargh newspaper. 
 
He received international acclaim, winning awards in prestigious cartoon festivals, including the 17th World Press Freedom International Editorial Cartoon Competition. After immigrating to Canada, Sabouki explored digital animation at Capilano University, broadening his artistic horizons. 
 
His exhibitions and collaborations reflect his dedication to art and his belief in the power of cartoons to bridge cultures and inspire laughter while prompting reflection.

As a member of art and cartoon media,  Sabouki embraced the responsibility to echo the legacy of these great cartoonists by fearlessly addressing sensitive issues. Just as they used their art to champion human rights and advocate for freedom of expression, Sabouki's illustrations and cartoons also became a vehicle to challenge norms and spark dialogue.

Through his exhibitions and collaborations, Sabouki continues to uphold the tradition of using cartoons to bring attention to pressing global concerns, uniting diverse audiences with shared laughter while provoking thoughts about the world we inhabit.
