I have been into art my whole life but I have been more serious about it in the last 10 years and have been selling for 8 years at events like the Entrepreneur’s market, through Facebook,  the Just Us! Café at King’s Wharf in Dartmouth, and the Insight Gallery in Dartmouth. A few summers ago I obtained a vendor's license for Spring Garden Road and I set up my artwork for sale in front of the Public Gardens. I have an Etsy page, a Gallea page and recently my own website www.wildnserene.com where you can see my new paintings  as well as sections with my paintings such as wild life, Nova Scotia Landscapes, and Pop Culture by following the portfolio link.

I have been doing a lot of Nova Scotia Scenery in the past years and have been getting pretty good reactions from people as well as a number of sales. I sometimes use silhouettes to contrast with colourful scenic landscapes in my paintings. I also really enjoy drawing in charcoal and pastels. I often use white pastels on a black background, so instead of shading I just leave the black parts black and use the pastel to create the forms and highlights. 

I also have an interest in photography, taking my own photographs of beautiful Nova Scotia while making a painting in my mind when framing and choosing the shot. I then make my painting at home drawing a loose sketch first on canvas and then painting in oil or acrylic. 

Other interests of mine include music, sports, and computers.

J'utilise parfois des silhouettes pour contraster avec des paysages pittoresques colorés dans mes peintures. J'aime aussi beaucoup dessiner au fusain et au pastel. J'utilise souvent des pastels blancs sur fond noir, donc au lieu d'ombrager, je laisse simplement les parties noires noires et j'utilise le pastel pour créer les formes et les reflets. J'ai créé mon propre site Web et j'y ai plusieurs catégories : Vie sauvage, Paysages, Paysages de la Nouvelle-Écosse, Portraits, Personnages de fiction, Divers ainsi que quelques dessins et vidéos étape par étape.
