Biography

Tanita is a Canadian artist who lives and works in Montreal Quebec. She holds a diploma of general arts and a BFA from Concordia university.   

Artistic approach

My works are a reflection of my experiences as a trans queer who transendes identity while exploring themes of love, sexuality and freedom in her works. Ofen working with portraiture, self portraits and images of others are layered ino paintings as a way to contextualize meaning as linked to the body and its representation.
