I was born in Iran; a country with a long history in art. When I was a little girl, my family recognized my talent in painting, but they were not in favor of me becoming an artist in the future; nonetheless, I didn’t give up and tried to go for painting classes during summer breaks. When my parents saw my talent and interest in painting, they started supporting me. Within a very short amount of time, I was recognized as a successful and talented artist. Even though I participated in university exhibitions and was reckoned for my talent, I only started my activity seriously after graduating from university in Agricultural Engineering. I learnt real painting under the supervision of famous and skillful artists in Tehran, the capital of Iran. I was eager to learn painting with different media so that I could be recognized fast as a realistic painter. I was also interested in teaching and communicating with people; I liked the challenge .At the beginning, I taught painting in my studio at home and later, I opened my own gallery and taught adults there. I was very successful in my career and held many exhibitions in Iran and Canada. Moreover, I was interested in sharing my new technique in Chalk Pastel with people who love Art, so I started teaching in Chinook Learning Services and Kerby Centre in Calgary.
I have experienced living in a society which has one of the oldest civilizations in the world with different cultures that have affected my views and my personality. It will be find in my artwork a reflection of my own interests and obsessions. My artistic practice is engaged with overlaying depictions of places, portraits, wildlife, and moments which I encounter every day.
