Biography

SamTe was born in a remote region of Latin America. The eighties
civil unrest forced him to migrate through various countries until he finally settled
in Calgary, Alberta in 1986. He studied visual arts at The Alberta College of Art ( Now UARTS ) and graduated with a BFA majoring in Drawing. Artist Statement: Samuel T
I explore the dynamic intersections of identity with abstraction. Through bold brushstrokes and mixed media, I portray tales of migration, transformation, and belonging. My work celebrates the syncretic spirit; traditional myths meet modern realities, blending experiences with the unknown and the unexpected.
