Pixelobotomy, a non-binary artist of Eastern European and French Canadian descent, has been immersed in creative expression since childhood. From a young age, they have cultivated their talents in drawing, writing, and creation. In 2016, they ventured into the realms of digital collage, image manipulation, and glitch art, which became their signature mediums. Their unique style caught attention, leading to participation in Ottawa's Pique arts festival where their works garnered acclaim and sales. Alongside, they've undertaken diverse commissions for drag artists, musicians, and individuals, showcasing their versatility and adaptability. Currently pursuing graphic design studies at LaSalle College in Montreal, Pixelobotomy continues to push boundaries and explore the intersections of art and technology. 

Art is, for me, an outlet for what I celebrate and what I lament. My hope is to build something, through colour, texture, and shape, that can convey the unspeakable. My work exists in a space where distortion meets high contrast, where provocative landscapes challenge perception, where ecstatic beauty flirts with the grotesquely horrific.

Escapism, disorientation, anarchism, the occult, and trans experience synthesize, each layer ostensibly hinting at some strand of being divinely flawed. It evokes visceral reactions, stirring emotions that dance on the edges of "good" taste.

Inspired by the gamut of 20th Century art movements and their subsequent fusion and recontextualization since the turn of the millennium, I applaud and channel ambiguity, inviting viewers to lose themselves in pieces devoid of singular interpretation but teeming with benevolent suggestion.

My approach is rooted in the belief that art has the ability to transcend itself, serving as a catalyst for introspection and social change in equal measure. Confront the discomfort of the unknown, and revel in the inherent charm of the absurd.

Ultimately, my art is a reflection of the profoundly human and the decidedly inhuman—an exploration of the shadowy corners of the psyche and the joy of abandon. Through digital deconstruction and reassembly, I invite others to join me on a journey of collective self-discovery and transformation.
