Paul grew up in the small town of Dominion, Cape Breton, NS. Economics guided him to a successful long term career in the financial world before retiring as Director, Business Development in 2012, living in the City of Lakes, Dartmouth, NS.

He began drawing and painting at a very young age, and switched to the acrylic medium in 2015. His talent grew very quickly as friends and clients soon started to request his work. 

Some examples of his growing talent include receiving the Special Recognition Award in the “Light Space Time” 2020 contest involving artists from 32 countries with his entry of “Just Old Archie” and also his painting “Last Plane in the Sky” was a finalist in the 4th Annual Fusion International Skies competition......announced August 2020. He has won 3 additional special recognition awards and been a finalist an additional 3 times since then. He was featured in a Saltwire article in April 2022 and interviewed to be a featured guest on Gallery 902 to be broadcast in 2023.

Paul is featured at Tripps Gallery in Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia and also has placed and sold art in a number of other NS a galleries.

Paul is self taught and has combined his natural ability with tips from top artists in North America. He is especially fond of the work of Jack Pettriano. He alternates his time between his homes in NS and Florida.

As an artist I attempt to capture the combination of beauty, truthfulness, and those special moments that exist in our lives, if only for precious few moments of time. My style of animated realism partners perfectly with the vibrant colours of the acrylic medium. If we truly take the time to look, we allow ourselves to see and enjoy what Mother Nature has provided.
