Maryse, an Artist in Full Bloom — Artistic creation has always been at the heart of Maryse’s identity. Now back in her native Quebec after a prolific career in Western Canada, she is currently studying visual arts and devotes her days to working in her studio. Her journey is also enriched by strong community involvement: she volunteers her time and skills to support artistic projects in Old Quebec. This engagement fuels her work, along with her ongoing exploration of new creative paths. Her recent collection reflects a vibrant period of rediscovery, creative momentum, and a renewed connection to her culture and surroundings.

La création artistique a toujours été au cœur de l’identité de Maryse. De retour dans son Québec natal après une carrière prolifique dans l’Ouest canadien, elle poursuit aujourd’hui des études en arts visuels tout en consacrant ses journées à son atelier.

Son parcours s’enrichit également d’un engagement communautaire fort : elle offre bénévolement son temps et son expertise à des projets artistiques dans le Vieux-Québec. Cette implication nourrit son travail, tout comme sa quête actuelle d’exploration artistique.

In search of an ambiance, an atmosphere, I explore the moments of life and the people around me through colors and textures. The pieces invite reflection, engaging observers on multiple levels to resonate personally and emotionally. As a contemporary figurative artist, I use primarily acrylic, oil and oil pastels, yet I am always experimenting with new techniques, mediums, and subjects. Through a vivid interplay of colors and textures, my work aims to evoke deep emotional responses, inviting viewers to experience familiar concepts through a unique and engaging lens.

A la recherche d’une ambiance, d’une atmosphère, j’explore les moments de la vie et les gens qui m’entourent à travers les couleurs et les textures. J’utilise principalement l’acrylique, l'huile et le pastel à l’huile, mais l’expérimentation de nouvelles techniques fait partie intégrante de ma démarche artistique. Je me définis comme une artiste figurative contemporaine qui cherche à faire vibrer le spectateur.
