Creating art has always been an integral part of Maryse's identity. Born in Québec, she spent her professional career in western Canada. Now back home, she is studying visual arts and dedicates her days to her studio as a prolific artist. Her journey has been enriched by volunteering to support artistic projects in Old Québec, and she eagerly anticipates exploring this new and exciting path. Her collection reflects this vibrant phase of discovery and creativity.  

La création artistique a toujours fait partie intégrante de l'identité de Maryse. De retour dans son Québec natal après une carrière prolifique dans l’ouest canadien, elle étudie présentement en arts visuels et consacre ses journées dans son nouvel atelier. Son parcours s'enrichi de son bénévolat pour soutenir des projets artistiques dans le Vieux-Québec, et elle a hâte d'explorer cette nouvelle voie passionnante. Sa collection reflète cette période vibrante de découverte et de créativité. 

In search of an ambiance, an atmosphere, I explore the moments of life and the people around me through colors and textures. The pieces invite reflection, engaging observers on multiple levels to resonate personally and emotionally. As a contemporary figurative artist, I use primarily acrylic, oil and oil pastels, yet I am always experimenting with new techniques, mediums, and subjects. Through a vivid interplay of colors and textures, my work aims to evoke deep emotional responses, inviting viewers to experience familiar concepts through a unique and engaging lens.

A la recherche d’une ambiance, d’une atmosphère, j’explore les moments de la vie et les gens qui m’entourent à travers les couleurs et les textures. J’utilise principalement l’acrylique, l'huile et le pastel à l’huile, mais l’expérimentation de nouvelles techniques fait partie intégrante de ma démarche artistique. Je me définis comme une artiste figurative contemporaine qui cherche à faire vibrer le spectateur.
