Lilit Gasparyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1996. She immigrated with her family to Canada in 2012. She did her studies in the health field. Having grown up in a family much valuing arts, her passion for various categories of art, including painting, continued to grow and blossom throughout her life. She did not have any training in the area; her passion was her only true lead.

“At a young age, until around 13 years old, I enjoyed doing pencil paintings on papers, which were, rather, attempts to paint restricted only to few paintings. To this followed a quite long break in this field during which period I was rather occupied exploring my passion for poetry and writing. My return to painting, later, about the age of 16-17, was sudden, spontaneous, and much different in its nature as I returned to this field creating paintings, for the first time, with acrylic and some oil paints on canvas. Since then, I truly discovered the passion that guides me in this endeavor to date."

Lilit Gasparyan often combines her love for photography with her passion for painting by bringing to life photos that she takes or that were taken from different moments in her life. With her work, she aims to evoke not only positive emotions and, with her colorful pigments, not only a captivating atmosphere; but also with her thoughtful compositions she raises a reflection in the reflections of a relatable reality.
