Painting has been a medium for me to express my philosophical deliberations and concepts about human emotion and consciousness. I am not technically trained and have only been painting for less than 2 years, however I enjoy overcoming this challenge and playing to my strengths in order to be accurate in articulating a concept while maintaining a particular aesthetic.

Painting has been a medium for me to express my philosophical deliberations and concepts about human emotion and consciousness. The intent of my artwork is based in the idea that a picture speaks a thousand words. In my paintings, I try to capture as many parallel experiences or emotions as I can through a singular abstract expression or arrangement of symbols. My process includes choosing a particular experience, either my own or told to me by someone, find the dominating emotion, define a concept that connects the two and finally conjure up an image-representation of that concept. I use humanoid i-figures to inspire the looker to see themselves as these figures typically in an emotionally charged setting either internally or externally. The Idea is that after empathizing with the painting, you will have a new found empathy for humanity.
