Biography

I am a self-taught artist born in Toronto, Ontario. I have discovered that I have Metis ancestry and inspired by the historical beadwork patterns found on clothing, footwear & various carrying bags, I produce paintings which bring those patterns to life through a modern application. Artistic approach

Having discovered that I have Metis ancestry and having been accepted by the Manitoba Metis Federation, I have taught myself to paint using a technique that mimics beadwork. I have produced many pieces large and small that bring that beadwork to life in a modern way. By creating these paintings I am connecting my present to my past.
