A photographer from the age of ten when he was published in a local newspaper he continued through university as yearbook photo editor. Travelling widely in Europe in the sixties and seventies he honed his skills in travel and story photography. As a secondary school teacher he taught photography when he created the first Québec course in visual literacy for secondary students. The objective of the course was to encourage students to better interpret the media world that was developing around them. From 2000 he took to the digital camera and now primarily creates architectural, floral and landscape images, often of a quite abstract nature. His exhibit at the Côte Saint-Luc Library, "Beyond the Camera", offered a collection of abstract floral and architectural images. Trips to China resulted in an award from the Beijing travel bureau in 2007. He has given live and ZOOM presentations, including one titled "The Pixel - Older than you Think", a personal psychological history of art attempting to explain that seeing is more than looking and that seeing is entirely a brain thing.

I find when wandering with friends that many miss the art of what surrounds them. It’s usually a matter of time but often just inattention. They don’t see the patterns and contrasts that seem so obvious to me. My mission is to allow these people to see the world that I see. My tool is the digital camera. While the image may be immediately appropriate in this world of photo overkill it is increasingly necessary to utilize post-processing tools to emphasize the desired effect. 
My images are printed with pigment inks on quality archival matte paper or aluminum sheets. Although my initial images are 12 x 18 inches they can be sized as desired. No image will ever be offered in more than 25 prints, all formats combined. Due to the vagaries of printing no two images will ever be identical.
