Biography

Audrey Gamponia is a Filipino artist currently working and living in Edmonton, Alberta. She recently received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta. Her work explores themes of bodily dysmorphia, intimacy and perceptions of voyeurism and exhibitionism. 

Artistic approach

Working primarily in the mode of portraiture, Audrey takes images that are generally perceived as intimate and uses photo editing apps to contort the body to render the image familiar yet foreign. She uses primarily oil and acrylic paint to recreate her edited images.
